The William Bower Family: Aberdeen, Williamsburg, South Gower, Osgoode, Ottawa & Beyond
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
The Bower Family from Ontario’s South Gower and Osgoode Townships has been traced back to William Bower, who immigrated to Canada from Aberdeen, Scotland in about 1811. He landed in Montreal, moved to Williamsburg, and later to South Gower. He was a school teacher and a farmer.
From that humble beginning came over 1,100 Canadian and American descendants. This book documents William Bower’s family and represents decades of research. The quest began, as it so often does for family genealogists, with conversations with an older relative. In my case, it was with my grandmother, Bessie Melvin Bower.
The book includes 10 generations, about 600 photos, and over 2,700 source document references.
The information contained in this book, along with any new research completed subsequent to the publishing date, is available on my website at bowergenealogy.ca.
