These texts, many of which are fragmentary, are perhaps all that remains of the library of a Coptic monastery. They were acquired from a dealer in Luxor and were translated by W.E. Crum from the Sahidic dialect in which they had been written. This volume contains fragments from a number of homilies and other works, as well as more substantial remnants of a life of St Pachomius.
