"What a great book!" Like the author, I, too, have a chronic illness. I am so impressed with the quality, creativity and depth of Ms. Hawkins' work. Her paintings are beautiful, inspiring, and in many cases, even soothing to the reader. She speaks directly to the spirit of creative people in general, but also more specifically, to those who cope with the daily impact of living with chronic illness. Her work is partly one woman's artistic celebration and partly an account of her personal journey. It is a moving and entirely personal and unique creation which many readers will find they can also personally identify with. Many populations will benefit from owning and reading this book, but some ideal audiences for this work are artists, medical professionals, therapists, members of the clergy, juveniles and adults living with arthritis or other forms of chronic illness, teachers, those struggling with any form of chronic condition(s), behavioral issue(s) or other life... More > challenges and high school and university students in any related field or situation themselves. This book should be widely read and will be of benefit to any and all who have the opportunity to own a copy of it. May you, the reader of this, purchase your own copy now. You won't be sorry you did.< Less
