Sunken Treasure is a short collection of some of my favorite pieces from my books and blog, including a production diary from my 2008 role in Criminal Minds, and excerpts from a collaborative fiction I took part in called Ficlets. As a bonus feature, it also includes the never-before-seen script to a sketch I wrote and performed at the ACME Comedy Theater. If you ever wanted to know where to start with all my writing, Sunken Treasure is the book for you.—Wil Wheaton

May 30, 2009"Sunken Treasure - Great Discovery" Okay, so I squealed like the total girl geek that I proudly am,when my copy of SUNKEN TREASURE came in the mail yesterday. As I have come to expect (no pressure Wil), I was not disappointed. This is a TOTALLY AWESOME book! I have read all of Wil's books and have the audio book of THDOOL (will soon get JUST A GEEK); Wil is in my top 5 list of writer's who's work I have to get as soon as it is published. He is the GEEK version of Neil Gaiman (who I also LOVE) for me. There isn't a sluggish piece in the entire book. My personal favorite's are ' YOU'RE GONNA BE A GREAT WRITER... ',' SEE A LITTLE LIGHT 'and ' SEAT WITH THE CLEAREST VIEW '. SUNKEN TREASURE is filled with magical gems - I LOVE IT !!!! THANKS WIL.
May 30, 2009"Yet another hidden treat." Ok, so I may be a biased reviewer, but my girlfriend isn't and she's been reading this since I got it. I'm a big fan of Wil Wheaton the author/geek, or is that geek/author? Regardless, this latest offering from Wil captures again what makes him so very relateable to so many. Beyond appealing to a clear demographic of those with a touch of geek in us born on and around 1972 , Wil presents stories both fiction and narrative that appeal to everyone due to the humanity and sensativity he brings to everything he writes. A must have for Wil fans. A really should have for geeks and those who love them. And definitely a surprisingly hidden treat for everyone else.
May 28, 2009"Amazing and Engaging; Mission: Accomplished" This was the first book by Wil Wheaton that I've read. I've checked out his blog from time to time, but never called myself a "fan." When I saw this book offered as a downloadable PDF, I thought what the heck: I'm bored, his blog is entertaining, throw the guy a few bucks. Three minutes later, I started reading it on my PC. Next thing I know, it's over already - that was the last page. I love when I can lose track of time like that. And I didn't want it to end. I expected it to be interesting, but wasn't prepared for it to be so amazing and engaging. I was left with a deep respect and admiration for Wil and his work. The purpose of a sampler is to introduce you to all the flavors (and leave you wanting more.) Mission accomplished. I'm buying his other books in print, and will be following his career more closely from now on. Fan Count: +1.
Apr 25, 2009"Beautifully written; left me wanting more!" If you've never read anything Wil's written, this is a perfect place to start!!! If you've read everything he's ever written, you will love this bite-sized portion!!! The stories had such a range! I cried, laughed, hoped, and smiled more than I've had an excuse to do in a while! My only complaint and first thought after finishing it was that it was over too soon... which prompted me to go find other stuff Wil's written! After you read it, you will too!!!
