Hooks 'N You was one of the first regular features on Popdose.Com and it's influence, particularly on me personally, is undeniable. As a writer for the site, I was dumbfounded by the wealth of material Will Harris was able to unearth, the people who he was able to interview, and all the great music I found I was missing. For every Phil Keaggy & Sunday's Child, a title I flagrantly pointed to for many years (often to blank stares and indifference,) Will countered with three "must hear" suggestions, threw on the treasure-trove that was NotLame Music Company and, just to top off the sundae, finished up with David Bash and his International Pop Overthrow festival. The column has been sadly infrequent in recent months but the material you'll find in Will's book "All You Need Is A Hook..." will surely bring you around to something I already knew: pop music is a wonderful thing and Will Harris is one of your best guides through it.
