Down A Dark Alley is a torrid tale exploding with raw romance, savage sex, voluptuous violence, mirthful mayhem and delirious decadence as a sorry sap takes a breathless cross-country walk on the wild side with a ferocious femme fatale, desperately trying to escape a chaotic past and facing an uncertain future. This is hard-boiled but heartfelt neo-pulp fiction for fearless dreamers.

The novel's back-cover description (seen above) is dead-on: this fast, loose and joyously dirty shoot-'em-up neo-noir work both updates and honors the noir genre while infusing it with classic cinematic elements and our current political climate. If you're a fan of sex, noir, crime or action writing, this, like his first book ("Love Stories Are Too Violent For Me", available at Amazon.com), is a book worth owning - and turning into a film.
Another dynamite thriller from the master of post-modern pulp, Will "the Thrill" Viharo! This is a thoroughly entertaining book, dripping with explicit sex and blood but steeped in retro film-noir values. The anti-heroine is extreme in every sense but strangely believable. She's always doing the wrong thing for the right reasons, and though you dread her mistakes you can't help empathizing with her visceral approach to getting by in this insane modern world. I found the male lead somewhat unlikeable, probably because he's a little too close to personifying the compromises I've had to make to get by in life. The two can't be more different and yet make the perfect pair for this outrageous cross-country adventure. The supporting characters are larger-than-life and never fail to entertain the reader as they try to make sense of the ever-increasing chaos. The ending is a shocker but somehow couldn't happen any other way. This is a tight powerhouse of a book, and again shows...
