Professionalism in Physical Therapy

ByWilliam Hanney

Professionalism in physical therapy is a broad and popular topic among physical therapists today. The presentation will give insight into how professionalism concepts, values, and ideas play a part in today’s professional practice. The intent is to challenge students and professionals to use critical thinking skills to determine how professional concepts affect not only physical therapy, but also the health professions as a whole. This is not a “how to” guide, rather it presents information in a factual and unbiased form so that students and professionals can be challenged to think about the relationships and behaviors that shape physical therapy professionalism behavior, communication, and interactions. -Mitch Haas -Michael Woodburn
