I have owned both the Normal version and the Lectern editions of this book. This book is fantastic.

I have ordered a few books from Lulu and was fully satisfied. And they did accept a return from me one time when an order was placed by mistake. So for me, Lulu is a great place to buy these rare important Bibles and books from. As for the text, we can say the very old Anglo-Saxon portions of Scripture are very, very hard to read. 800 AD = Then on to the Wycliffe Bibles 1380 AD which are Middle English and still ( hard to read ) = Then Tyndale's 1526 N.T. which is Modern English which is the English of the Coverdale, Matthew's, Great, Geneva and Bishop's Bibles. Onward to the 1611 King James Bible which was a lot easier to read especially as the English language was progressing rapidly. So by 1769 the English language was what it is today. Not American English, because we butcher the King's English, but the beautiful King James English. The King James English was a Bible English, not your everyday English. That's why these Facsimiles are so important and thanks to Lulu Publisher's for... More > making them available. May God bless you all.< Less

We have owned the smaller print version of this bible for a couple of years now. If you buy this version you will learn that the much vaunted King James Version has been made corrupt with 10% derived from the Catholic Vulgate. It took me a good year to accept this truth. I learnt never to accept what the King James told me without confirming the verse with this bible. Bible verses that need a scholar to interpret (many times they are so misleading, you will never find the truth) can be easily understood in this version. Really, this is the only Bible we now trust! Get it and read it side by side and in time, you will be grateful you purchased this bible. Be warned though that the print is unfortunately in old english and it does take some time before you will be reading fluently. This one is the large print version and I would highly recommend it for easier reading. Thankyou Lulu for the larger print reproduction. It would be even better if possible in a soft leather bound cover to... More > improve the durability of the bible. May God Richly Bless You!!!< Less

I don't see how anyone can read this Bible. The font is just horrid, and illegible. I would love to be able to read it, but alas, it is just impossible without a great struggle. Have you noticed that they do not provide a preview of the text? I relied on the review written by Dennis Ward, and I feel greatly deceived. Because this Bible was printed on demand, Lulu will not accept a return.

The Deluxe Lectern-Sized Edition of the MSTC Holy Bible is more easily readable than the less expensive version. The extra few dollars are worth it. It's beatifully printed and bound. The text and footnote print is larger. This is the only modern spelling and modern print version of the "Mathews Bible" currently available. It is a root translation that illuminates the History of Bible translations. It is an eloquent and enlightening translation. A great Bible translation and well worth the price. Thanks be to God for the availability of the Modern Spelling Tyndale Coverdale Bible! Great job Shawn McDonnell and Lulu Books. Keep up the excellent publishing of a great Bible.
