Using a simple and fast version of the popular FATE system, Awesome Adventures gives you the tools to get more bang from your tabletop game. Geared for cinematic style gaming, the system is simple,well explained, and easy to run. Character creation starts the players with connections to each other and a strong sense of what their core focus is. Any genre and any character is opened up by the FATE system, and the game has great advice to take the awesome that comes from character creation and drag it into the ongoing game. Highly recommended!
After playing and investigating FATE for a while I wanted to write my own version of the rules. Making things simpler, getting rid of of stunts and sorting out stress tracks. Then I found out that Willow had already done all the work :-D Awesome..
The book is layed out very nicely, cleanly bound with just the right amount of art. This... is everything I wanted Spirit of the Century to be. This is the essence of FATE.
