This thesis bridges the gap between the physical mall and the virtual mall through appropriation, composition and juxtaposition of elements, systems and symbols found in both virtual and physical shopping experiences. One of the symbols which connects the physical and virtual world is the QR codes. QR stands for “Quick Response” and it’s a basic symbol of virtual data that allow people to share and access information. But if we allow ourselves to read the QR Code as architecture, it might also be understood as a systematic diagram which can act as the catalyst for the reaction between people and merchandise.
