Zayra Yves is there to rescue you when you feel the madness of life driving you into the earth. Her writing fills your lungs with hope when all else seems tainted. Her work is composed with such gentle and blessed hands, the letters she paints on paper whisper to you. You get the feeling Zayra is sharing a secret with you, and only you. You can hear her voice remind your soul that hope is still alive somewhere. When you read her poetry your eyes are opened to the truths we normally stray from. She will make you realize things about yourself and life. Zayra's words also have this effect of making you close your eyes and lose yourself in it all. It becomes a meditation. It's a beautiful thing. This artist's poetry is just as gorgeous as her paintings, which will give you similar feelings. Life feels better when you read her, when you revel in her art. You will be enlightened by the time your eyes reach that last punctuation mark that holds more wisdom than we can fathom. She is one of... More > the greatest dicoveries I have had. We are lucky to be alive with her on this blue planet. --Charles Quinene< Less

She speaks to your soul, even those spaces within that you might not have known existed before she lightly tapped and entered, leaving only a soft fragrance and a gentle smile behind in her wake. Gifted, pure artistry rises from each page as a wave from a warm sea, as a cool breeze on a balmy day. Everything she writes is majestic. I have all of her books and savor each one as though they were treasures - because they are. - Wanda Lea Brayton, author of "Swanee Sighs"

"Walking a sandy line and reading by the sea..." When dancing through progressions of colorfully dynamic landscapes in “Empty as Nirvana” the reader might find it difficult to keep from breathing harder, deeper and faster than without dancing between the covers. Zayra lures and catches her prey with frames of confluent stylings and sophisticated range disguised as soft, breathy Siren voices and rippling rhythms. She gives invitation to enter bodies of light and love on formless waves of passion. She brushes sweet, restless strokes of wreckage and folly. There are coarse African vistas on sea foam lines, curling at the edges of earth and water. The most tangible residue she leaves behind are warmer body temperatures and a deeper compassion for one another without the common shackles we’ve been known to bind upon ourselves. One might feel a less confined freedom within after reading Zayra’s work. Her words flicker just above the surface of her page as entire generations melt... More > into one gene pool, evaporating deeper into an electric cosmos. Propter omnium unitatum cunctus animus unum ese - Through the unity of all, all souls are one.< Less
