Abandoned House in Kuwait
This house, now sadly abandoned and condemned to be demolished, was once typical of the houses in Kuwait. It was originally on the edge of teh beach, but thanks to land reclamation is now next to a busy road.
The floor level inside the building is now significantly above what it originally was courtesy of the concrete mixer trucks from the adjacent building site emptying the surplus concrete immediately ourside. This surplus concrete has made it's way inside the building, extinguishing any hopes for rehabilitating and preserving it for future generations to enjoy.

An army of shisha pipes, also commonly known as "hubbly bubbly" or "hooka" pipes. The Arabic name for these is "Nargilah" and is an immensely popular pastime in Arabic countries as well in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Decay of Old Amiri Hospital in Kuwait
These pictures document the sad condition of the old Amiri Hospital in Kuwait. This landmark building is a remarkable survivor of an early 'oil boom' building but has been abandoned and sadly neglected for many years despite being in good structural condition. Historical buildings in Kuwait such as this are rapdily disappearing in favour of new development.

Footbridge at Royal Opera House, London
Contemporary footbridge connecting the historic Royal Opera House in London with the Royal Ballet School. The bridge was built so that dancers could avoid crossing the road in the rain, and owes its twisted appearance to the difference in levels between buildings and the fact that the entrances at eash structure or not parallel and are of differing size.
