The Crooked Limb
It is the spring of 1955 in Willow Springs, Alabama, when nineteen-year-old Miranda Nelson learns the truth surrounding her mother’s death. Because her mother died when she was two-years-old, her father was left to care for her on his own. Miranda becomes close with her father along with Seth, a black man who works on her family’s farm. Adam Martin is the son of a preacher with whom Miranda falls head-over-heels. This man storms into her life stirring up emotions that she did not know she had. As they begin to uncover the mysteries surrounding the death of her mother, racism is revealed in all its horror. Miranda and Adam probe into a wretched, unforgettable, and shocking truth.
