Harry George Pellegrin
Harry George Pellegrin studied at The Mannes College of Music in Manhattan, graduating in 1980. While at that institution he studied classical guitar with the noted pedagogue Albert Valdés-Blain and the brilliant recitalist Eliot Fisk.
After a number of years performing, Mr. Pellegrin founded a guitar studio which operated many years in New York City until moving to Scotia, New York where he has taught since 1994.
His new guitar method stems from the need he found to incorporate a number of schools into a single cohesive curriculum. Years of honing a logical approach to the guitar and the creation of music culminate in this volume. As a self-proclaimed Disciple of Valdés-Blain, much of that famed teacher’s focus can be found in Mr. Pellegrin’s method.
An author of popular fiction as well, he has also written for periodicals ranging from Soundboard: The Journal of the Guitar Foundation of America to The Horse: Backstreet Choppers.
Mr. Pellegrin's second novel, DEEP END, is a sequel to the critically-acclaimed LOW END. DEEP END picks up the tale three years later. Gary Morrissey is once again thrust under the watchful eye of the Yonkers Police Department when he tangles with a Haitian Kreyol death cult.
