About Stephen Sanders

Stephen Sanders, aka "The Pirate Laureate", is an award-winning poet who writes about adventure, history, and human beings. His work has been published in Raising Black Flags, Echoes From Other Worlds, Characters: “The Buffalo Soldier” and Other Poems, the San Antonio Poetry Fair’s “Voices Along the River”, and Weatherford College’s "Canis Latran". Stephen can be seen on YouTube reciting his work (see the link below) and can be heard on the CD, “A Night at Devil’s Tavern”. He is also a frequent performer at Renaissance faires and a speaker who presents talks such as "200 Years of Pirates in Poetry." A member of the Fort Worth Poetry Society and a frequent attendee of the Mobile Poetry Circus, he lives in Fort Worth, Texas with his wife, Melody.
