Paul Elliott dropped out of a Geology BSc degree course in 1990 to instead study Ancient History & Archaeology. After graduating he published history books for Cassell, Arms & Armour, History Press and Fonthill Media. He has a passion for Roman history in particular - he writes magazine articles and is a long-standing Roman and Iron Age re-enactor in northern England.
