Nicola Stretton is a professional writer from Essex. She worked in a variety of jobs including childcare, retail, catering and office work, before finally giving in to her passion for writing to settle down as a freelance journalist.

Nicola holds 11 GCSEs, 3 A-Levels and further qualifications in journalism, nutrition & health, childcare, food safety, first aid, barista skills and even canoeing. She believes that her former careers and training, as well as her extensive travels, have given her a lot of life experience which she now brings to her writing.

Nicola is a member of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) and has written for various local, national and international businesses, magazines and websites.

'In a New York Minute' is Nicola's first novel and she is currently writing the sequel.
