Regine Rousseau was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Haiti. She is excited to self publish her first collection of poetry, Searching for Cloves and Lilies. Regine’s desire to become a serious writer first bloomed as a high school student at Chicago’s Francis W. Parker School. She went on to graduate from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, where she studied theater with an emphasis in playwriting. Conflicted between her love of art and business, Regine set aside her acting ambitions to pursue a career in sales and marketing. While working full time, she began a few entrepreneurial ventures and worked on her writing in the evenings. In May 2005, she and a partner opened polish, a nail lounge in Chicago’s South Loop.
Regine Rousseau currently lives in Chicago. She writes the wine column (Shall We Wine) for South Suburban News. She is often featured in this e- newspaper as a theater critic. She is at work on her second book.
