Originally, this was intended to become FANG Volume 4, the first non-erotic anthology in the series and Ben Goodridge's first command. The number of submissions made it clear that simply alternating between erotic and non-erotic volumes of FANG wasn't going to meet demand, so this volume was split off and became the first of BDB's new line of non-erotic fiction anthologies: ROAR.
