Alan Brown is an established jazz pianist within New Zealand, from having led a highly successful jazz-funk band in the 90’s – Blue Train (1996 Jazz Album of the Year winner), through to being a core member of The Grand Central Band, and now his own project with a soon to be released album 'Between The Sapces'. He is also a member of international saxophonist Nathan Haines' 'Dream Band'. Alan has gained a Bachelor Of Music (Jazz) with First Class Honours, and is working towards a Masters degree. He teaches at MAINZ (Music & Audio Institute of New Zealand) as well as NZSM (New Zealand School Of Music).
