Local director/playwright/wunderkind Marshall Clearman is set to etch his name into the annals of theater history by doing something that hasn’t been done for many centuries: directing a world premiere of a long lost play by William Shakespeare, Presidenticus. It’s opening night and the stage is set for Clearman to make history by producing his performance a night before The Globe Theater is set to premiere their version in England. Everything looks perfect for Clearman and his cast...until the show begins. What was intended as the pinnacle of drama unravels into a madcap farce of cops, robbers, deaths, jilted ex-lovers, audience participation, a pizza delivery girl, the nervous understudy, and a drug-addled TV star as Marshall’s dream of theater immortality crashes around him.
