A few years ago, Gisela von Brunn, Will Harrison, Jeannie Mobley, Steve Pulley, Leslie S. Russell, S. Michele Smith, Mike Walton and Mary Kay Williams, members of the Internet writing group, Coffeehouse for Writers Percolator (see link below), got together and compiled several of their short stories, poems and essays into a book, which became "Brewed Awakenings."
Started back in 1999, Coffee House for Writers Percolator (aka CHPercolator) was designed as a forum for writers to share their freewriting, not as a critiquing group, but rather as an encouragement group. It is also a place for the discussion of writing and being a writer. Freewriting is a powerful tool that can help unleash your writing potential and help you find your true "voice." Daily prompts are posted, and writers are encouraged to just start typing whatever comes to their mind about the subject.
