Dieses Objekt wurde mit über 20 Arbeitsstunden in einen dem Original entsprechenden Zustand gebracht. Es wird gezeigt, wie fehlende Tonzähne des Musikkammes neu gefertigt und in den Kamm eingesetzt werden. Der Bericht ist reichhaltig mit Farbbildern illustriert.

Originally the instrument was manufactured by the firm Wilhelm Späthe, Gera, Germany around 1890. The report documents how the totally wrecked instrument was restored with the investment of more than 140 hours of work. After restoration the instrument is now looking like original. The section translated contains information about reed pipes (reed voices). The authors decided to translate this section for three reasons. First, reed pipes are more complicated to construct than the more common flue pipes. Second, very little information is available about the construction of reed pipes, especially free reeds. Third, Bruder was a known authority on the making of organs and pipes in the early 1800s when many early band, street and clock organs were designed so his insight might help restorers of these instruments. < Less
