The Æneid for Grammar School was written by a home schooling mom when she could not find an age-appropriate story of the Aeneid for her daughter. This book was adapted from The Aeneid for Children by Alfred Church. In addition to some explanations and rewording, the story has been shortened, much of the blood-shed has been removed, and illustrations have been added.
You may remember that the fair city of Troy was conquered with the help of a large wooden horse. The Trojans brought the horse into their city and with it the Greeks hiding in its belly. Troy was destroyed. What you may not know is that some of the Trojans escaped the Greeks and traveled to another place to build a new great city. This is the story of Æneas.
