Franchesca Guzman was born on September 26, 1985 in Frankfurt, Germany where her father was assigned to serve in the U.S. Army. Both of her parents are of Puerto Rican descent. She is very proud of her culture and has always enjoyed learning more about the history of ‘La Isla Del Encanto’ (Island of Enchantment). Franchesca has loved to write from a young age. She continues to use this creative outlet to create poetry and short stories. In 2007 she wrote, illustrated and self published a children’s book about the many aspects of Puerto Rican culture. She is currently working on her first novel in Dallas, Texas where she resides with her husband, Agustin and her son, Emeterio.
