There is nothing as fascinating as geometry. When you just look around, everything you see is geometry. Nowadays it is not possible anymore to create all the complex shapes we need as cars, planes, or machines, without the use of the computer. Every day, people are dealing with geometry, all over the world. Designers create new geometric ideas. Industrial engineers convert them to real products. Analysts are testing the products. And manufacturing specialists program the machines to create the required shapes. And this all while the actual products don’t even exist yet. They are all working on the virtual geometry inside their computers. Dirk has been able to deal with most of these activities. So, he studied geometry and the mathematical backgrounds of it. He was amazed that most of the computational methods had been developed centuries ago. And he found lots of strange mysteries. Some of them are decribed in his books.
