Gail Peter Borden attended Rice University for his undergraduate education simultaneously receiving three BA degrees cum laude in Fine Arts, Art History and Architecture, winning upon graduation the prestigious William Ward Watkins Traveling Fellowship. Professor Borden returned to Rice University to receive his professional BARCH, also cum laude. He went on to Harvard University's Graduate School of Design to complete a post-professional Masters of Architecture with distinction.
Prior to joining the Faculty at the University of Southern California [USC] School of Architecture, Professor Borden taught at North Carolina State University, Catholic University, The Boston Architectural Center and Harvard University and worked in a host of firms including Gensler and Associates, Frank Harmon Architect, and The Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Paris.
