I'm a British writer from a little town called Melbourne, in Derbyshire, England. I have a fairly unexceptional working and private life (happily married, couple of kids, earn most of my money as a lecturer in an FE college) but try to create exceptional literature in the form of poems, short stories and - more recently - novels. I am widely published in the UK small press and have had a number of short stories produced and broadcast by the BBC.

The main theme of my work is the frequent inability of people to communicate in a really meaningful way with those they love, and this idea forms the basis of my novel 'The Entire Animal' which was published in 2006 by The Waywiser Press.
