Tunisia is one of the safest Arab nations in the world, as far as the foreign traveler is concerned, with an extremely low crime rate. The foreign tourist can break away from the guides and travel away from the herd using local transport such as taxis, buses and trains.
The pictures shown in this book represent what I found when I broke away from the official guides and the mainstream tourist destinations to get a feel for the real Tunisian people and their country.
