Michael Hunter wants to change the world. He plans to do this two different ways -- by teaching high school social studies, and by writing books to make readers think, maybe to even change the way they view the world. Hunter suspects that many writers write for the very same reason.
His first book, Eastside, was completed on a typewriter, and took several years. Such foolishness is behind him. His second book, Iron and Steel, was researched over three summers in Santa Fe. This is when Hunter hit his stride. His third book, The Lady Rockets, is the longest of the three, yet took the least amount of time to write (four months). He is currently working on his fourth book, Renaissance Man, which should be finished in 2012. It is his first novel since Eastside.
Hunter believes that through writing he can get his message to the people. This begs the question -- Is the message worth relaying? That's up to the public - and time - to decide.
