About
Lewis Jenkins
My dad began my education at bedtime by reading me Pogo comic books. He started me on history by explaining Walt Kelly's political satire. I graduated from Akron University as a history and math teacher but went into business because no school would guarantee me a history course. Thanks to Pop and comic books, I was addicted to stories and history. Then I discovered that I loved programming, too, and I did that for 40 years. I retired to program in English (to become a writer) and it's hard for me to write anything without packing it with history. I use the oxymoron term Future History to describe my stories. I could call them Speculative History, but that implies a re-write of the past. My robot stories do not re-write the past. They re-write the future.
