Born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Jim Colbert is an instructor and advisor at South Hills School of Business & Technology in State College, PA. Following a quarter century in the advertising field as graphic designer, art director and copywriter, he now specializes in music-related freelance design. As a performing songwriter, he has been the winner of the Susquehanna Folk Music songwriting competition, PA Heritage songwriting competition, and a finalist at the Rose Garden Performing Songwriter competition.
