Chef of the Parkhaus

The intended audience is not children. It is the story of Leon LeGros, a young man who sought fortune in the South Pacific.... More > Leon, today a resident of Luxembourg, led an extraordinary life, as a chef, as a cook in the mining camps of the Solomon Islands and Australia, where he matured before returning to Europe and a more responsible life. Today, he is a parking lot attendant, a sacrifice for the one to whom he has dedicated this book. In the process of getting there, Leon has lived several lifetimes of adventure that far exceed anything many of us have experienced. There is eroticism in the book, though it is not salacious. This book was not written to titillate; but to document the life of an extraordinary man, warts and all, and to talk about how his life has changed in more than five decades. < Less

Malcolm Zytel is a computer programmer for the Pelican National Bank. He has devised an amazingly simple way to embezzle money. When he takes $100,000 and runs, he is unaware that he could have taken much more. For his crime he receives a ten-year sentence in the minimum-security prison at Susanville, CA. He breaks out of Susanville and leaves a string of bodies as he attempts to settle his personal score with bank employees and the legal system. However, he hadn’t “banked on” the grit of the shrink who helped put him away, Doctor Carole Roberts, now married to the Chief of the Chainville Police, Quentin Price. < Less |
Ken Lord is now retired, remarried, and living in Syracuse, NY. His background is extensive. Educated at UMass, Oregon State, and U Arizona, Ken began to write just about the time that the microcomputer came to market, and information contained at Google will present some of that. What appears here is what he's written since recovering from a hospitalization in 1999 where he nearly died. At the time he lived in Arizona and had built one of the most successful Avon businesses that the state--or the company, for that matter--had ever seen. Sadly, his wife of 16 years died; he returned to bachelorhood near his children in Massachusetts, and after some time found his new, and very wonderful, wife on a Christian Internet dating website, Christian Mingle. He's still writing.
