Meet Angel Warrior, a brave, young spiritual warrior who sails from her homeland in search of wholeness. She shipwrecks on a... More > mysterious land, bonds with the Dancing Mist of her dreams, fords through treacherous streams and journeys to the core of her soul.
Warrior in The Mist depicts a young spiritual warrior who goes on a quest to battle her own internalized homophobia. Angel Warrior struggles with the internalized belief that she is not worthy of life and love because she is a woman-loving-woman. The hero myth illustrates in a Kahlil Gibran-ish, prose poetic voice what some people feel at one time or another during their self-reflective journeys. Loren coordinates the seasons, times of day and healing process all at once in a mythological prose, capturing the cyclical nature of life and death. Not only can it help one who struggles with internalized homophobia, but also anyone who cannot face or accept a part of themselves. www.lorenjenner.com < Less |

Askov, a small Danish town in northern Minnesota, is home to roughly 400 people. Some modern Danish descendants struggle to... More > say the local Danish street names yet easily enjoy the local potlucks of medisterpolse, Dansk surkaal, snebudding, and slab. Some might say she has lived a tragedy while others would say her life was one big comedy. Her father died when she was very young, which left a big ache in her heart for most of her life. At the same time, she enjoyed being with the love of her life, Ralph Johnsen, for nearly all of it. Ultimately, Nora lit up the room with her storytelling abilities and silly antics. She could pound out a polka with the best of them and defy the etiquette of her day with Mukinfuss humor. By reading this story, the reader very well may glimpse a life celebrated and revered by those who love her - both as Nora and as Mukinfuss. < Less
