The resulting digits are finally reconverted in pitches, and these pitches are substituted in the generating Prelude and Fugue, originating all variations. The organization of events aims at balance. Hence, the first Variation is constituted by Prelude in Base 12 and Fugue in Base 2. The last Variation consists of Prelude in Base 2 and Fugue in Base 12, followed by a final Quodlibet. The sum of the bases of each prelude and its associated fugue is always 14. Therefore, the midpoint presents Prelude and Fugue both in Base 7. Performance time is one hour. Advanced.< Less
