On The High Seas
By T. K. Medernach
Paperback:
$12.95
Ships in 3–5 business days
A swashbuckling seaman and adventurer, tells some of his true life tales.
'On the High Seas' is a collection of short... More > stories based on true life experiences of Ken Medernach, involving the author’s life on the water. On the High Seas was written to inspire young people to seek their dreams, but only after they have adequately prepared themselves for the task. --The first story in the book illustrates that careful preparation and training help and is critical to the successful accomplishment of one’s goals. --The second tale illustrates that even though the participants were well trained, the lack of adequate preparation brought them in close proximity with calamity. --In the final episode two men embrace haphazard and “devil-may-care” attitudes which, without their prior experiences, could have had much more serious consequences. The book has many illustrations, maps, a glossary of nautical terms and much more. The ideal book for anyone interested in adventures on the water. < Less |
