Motesem Mansur was born on January 28, 1986. He was diagnosed with mild autism at age three and usually excelled in school. He graduated top ten honors in eighth grade. After mental illness took over him, he dropped out of high school at sixteen. He received his GED at the age of seventeen. Motesem Mansur is an author, artist, and a mental health advocate for Illinois. He has appeared in newsletters, held exhibits, won art contests, and is a natural public speaker. Motesem currently works at the Chicago Cultural Center creating artwork.
