My childhood ambition to become a zoologist got lost somewhere in film school. My love of animals did not. After creating the original San Diego Chicken, animating a magpie on Sesame Street, creating dozens of educational films featuring frogs, dogs and fish, and co-starring in Discovery's Bingo & Molly series as both a rabbit and a wolf it is only fitting that I would finally write a book based on the spiritual teachings of a donkey who lived nearby. Murray was an exceptional creature who taught me a great deal. I was once asked how I'd feel if Murray died. "Murray lives inside me," I replied. And so it is, years after his passing, that he continues to be a beacon of inner peace for me and many readers around the world.
