I picked chapter 8... More > because at age of 15 in 1973 ,when I created Sammy and Pingya after watching the old Kung Fu series,I made up my own story about a Chinese man that came to the west, name Pingya Kelly who worked on the railroads for free passage to America. But this chapter I asked my late Grandma about,so it special chapter to me.
Sammy Anderson a white Kansas teenager married a half Chinese and half White man in 1877 Kansas. After two years of being away from home, they come back for a visit to her family.
I write in my own way of thinking and talking. My stories are not in what people called correct English text book grammar, just American from the midwest and South.

back cover is my grandma Bessie Lockwood Cockrell age 15 in 1921 my first reader of my stories. I read my stories to her as a teenager when I wrote them at her house. She always wanted to be a writer but never done it, but she helped me alot in my first three stories, Secret Love, Love on the open road, Coming home is what I wrote and read to her in 1973. This part of the story I wrote in 1996 after I start rewriting the stories after two teenage girls that was visiting my house in 1995 read the story and like it, that lead to me writing on the story again.I like to thank all my friends and family who reads my stories.< Less
