Originally from Chesapeake, VA, Mel Trent moved to Chapel Hill, NC after graduating from Longwood College (now University) with a BA in English in 1997. Since then, Mel has worked in the banking industry, all the while writing fiction and poetry. She currently lives and works in Raleigh, NC.
