I'm a non-titled Swedish chess author who mainly writes to satisfy my own curiosity. Strength-wise I'm at around IM strength on a good day, but usually I'm far too uneven to maintain that kind of level. And as I'm not very fond of travelling either, the life of a chess pro has never seemed very attractive to me.
In numbers, my highest Elo was 2250, in Swedish rating I reached 2427 once ten years ago, and in my first (and so far, only) corr-tournament I scored 10/12 (+8 =4 -0) which resulted in an IM-norm and an ICCF rating of 2493.
At the time of writing this (October 11th 2011) my Swedish rating is 2286 which pretty well reflects my 'chess-ambitions' nowadays...
By the way, in that corr tournament, as Black after 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 I scored 3½ from 4 games with the French Defence!
Actually, as a firm believer in the French myself this book about 2.b3 was a way for me as White to avoid the typical play that arises after 2.d4 d5 where my feeling is that Black is OK anyway.
