Wise Owl Reading Workbooks teach 5 levels of reading. Level 1 - "Wise Owl's Reading Readiness" - Teaches ABC's and printing. Level 2 - "Wise Owl's First Phonics and First 100 Sight Words" teaches beginning sounds, ending sounds, short vowel words with CVC pattern, consonant Digraphs, Consonant Blends and 100 easy first grade sight words. Each lesson has 3 stories to read. Level 3 - "Wise Owl's Vowels and Sight Words" teaches 36 vowel sounds and their spellings plus 136 new sight words, on top of the 100 words learned in level 2. There are 2 stories per lesson. Level 4 - "Wise Owl's Moving Up" - Reviews all vowel sounds and adds three more. Reviews some first grade sight words and adds 50 second grade words. It has 2 stories per lesson. Level 5 - " Wise Owl's Moving On" - Reviews known vowel sounds and adds 2 more, word skills and 75 sight words. Two stories per lesson.
