The Christmas Carol story is made familiar to us by... More > movie adaptations such as Disney's A Christmas Carol. And yet there are special treasures to be enjoyed from reading a book. The original was first published in 1843, which makes it difficult to read because the English is a bit old. This book follows Charles Dickens version by maintaining the characters, emotions, and storyline. It was updated using advise from The Elements of Style by Strunk and White, and On Writing by Stephen King. To make the reading more fun, the old references have been changed to be from our modern favorite Christmas shows: The Santa Clause with Tim Allen, Scrooged with Bill Murray, The Grinch that Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss, The Little Drummer Boy, and A Charlie Brown Christmas. Have you seen the shows? This Christmas, read the book, and enjoy the company of our favorite Christmas Spirits as they pay a visit to the original Scrooge, Ebenezer Scrooge. < Less
