ABOUT AUTHOR
Susan Wingate writes fiction, poetry, and essays. Her novels depict loss, survival and redemption in small town settings, her poems elicit the textural sensitivity of an artist, and her essays dig down to long forgotten days when life seemed simpler. Just recently, her poem entitled THE FISHERMAN, THE EAGLE, AND JESUS placed second in the 2006 Foster City International Writers Competition. She lives with her husband, Bob and a houseful of animals in Washington State. Currently, Susan teaches writing classes at Skagit College (San Juan Center), at workshops around the country, she individually tutors students, and she now teaches online writing classes through her website.
