Ms. Suzanne Noble

Biography. I have been writing poetry since I was a young girl, which has matured over the years into a unique experience in my life. From the age of 14, I was filled with the passion of writing, and had a wonderful and unique teacher in English named, Faith. She inspired me and captivated my attention to continue writing poetry. She would ask me why I wrote about such sad thoughts, and my answer to her was that I was inspired to write when I was depressed and feeling sad. In grade seven, when attending Faith’s class, another English teacher picked me up and swept me out of Faith’s class into another group teaching Shakespeare. For whatever reason, I was not interested or captured by Shakespeare’s writings. My mother tried to reason with this teacher and told him to put me back into Faith’s class of creative poetry writing. Much to my dismay, I had to remain in the class learning Shakespeare. I completely ignored my poetry, and still not interested in learning Shakespeare, I just kind of closed up into a shell as far as poetry goes. Then at about the age of 18, I became inspired again, and began writing. Still, I would mostly write about the dark side of life. At the age of 18, I also began playing guitar and singing, doing some back-up work for some of my friends who were musicians. I always found myself to be shy and never wanting the lime light, so I would just help out doing some back-up vocals. I fashioned my music after people like Joni Mitchell, Carol King and Carly Simon. At the age of 26, I moved to San Francisco, California. After living there for about three months, a man I had met heard me singing, and told me to audition for the San Francisco Bach choir. I told him that I didn’t think I qualified, but he pushed me into going for an audition. Much to my surprise, I was asked to join the choir. I arrived the first day full of inspiration but also feeling very nervous. I didn’t realize that the songs would be sung in German and Italian. I felt so out of place that I decided not to return. I then moved to Santa Monica, California. I have found myself getting more and more involved in writing as the years go by. I write about love, happiness, dreams, sadness, despair, fear, depression, and being an adamant animal rights activist and vegetarian. Through this journey, I have captured my inner self and now will share my life's mysteries with you, the reader. I will share my passions and disappointments of life along the roads I have traveled. http://www.freewebs.com/suzanne1 http://www.poetrypoem.com/suzanne1 Sudden Thoughts Suzanne Noble Lulu (2005) ISBN 1411615476 Reviewed by William Phenn for Reader Views (9/06) Suzanne Noble was born in Canada and lives on the beautiful west coast of the United States. She began writing in High School at about the age of 14, mostly writing about dark and sad subjects, which at that time was what she was feeling. In her early twenties she began writing with new ideas and feelings. Suzanne is an adamant animal rights activist and has been a vegetarian for over 35 years. ”Sudden Thoughts” elaborates on Suzanne’s personal life experiences on such topics as love, happiness, dreams, sadness, disappointment, despair, tragedy, fear, sorrow, depression, and falling into the dark side of her soul. Her book is filled with a lot of emotion and compassion. Through this journey, she has captured her inner-self and shares her life's hopes, dreams, passions and the dark side with the reader. There are also the events in her life which she has written about as time has passed. She shares her feelings, trials, tribulations, and disappointments of life along the roads she has traveled. “Sudden Thoughts” is 134 pages of pure heartfelt soul. The poetry is diverse and very entertaining. Ms. Noble’s descriptions are vivid and paint mental pictures for the reader that is simply verbal art. “Tormented Mind,” with its description of the cremation of animals was gut-wrenching, as was “Grotesque.” and a few others. “My True Friend” was a lovely tribute to that special person. Suzanne exemplifies her prowess of the quill with many different styles. Palindromes are a difficult write, but Ms. Noble excels in this arena with such flair when she writes “Love Blooms, Cloudy Love and Minds Alike,” (just to name a few). Suzanne blends sincerity with the truth in life, giving readers a chance to be taken into her world. I thoroughly enjoyed “Sudden Thoughts” and recommend it highly to all lovers of poetry. Written with true professionalism and from the heart, “Sudden Thoughts” is worth buying. I am sure that everyone old and young alike would enjoy it and so it gets my highest A+ rating.

Your Heart and Magic

You look into my eyes with deep meaning
Trying to read me like a book, you have read
Over and over again, you keep searching
As answers flow freely tucked away in your head

You try to feel my pain, I have buried oh so deep
Digging away at the core of my soul
With wisdom, compassion and sad smiles
Trying desperately to make me feel whole

I gaze into your eyes of deep chocolate brown
Feeling your love, passion and sincerity
Your aura surrounds me with rainbow pastels
Promising everlasting eternity

You have a lust for life, unlike no other
Charismatic, enigmatic, and quite the romantic
Always seeing through life’s misty melancholy
You bring out one’s best with your heart and magic

The Holocaust

Suzanne Noble in Suzanne Noble's Blog

Ethnic cleansing, so you say
What does that mean to you?
You idolize yourself
And terrorize the rest
Separation, isolation
Burying your soul into cement

Dictating your world into an event
Celebrating your victory from misery
Starvation, amputation, poisonous gasses
Whatever it may take, and take away
As long as you can clean up the masses
As long as you may have your way

Stealing gold from their teeth
Making lampshades out of their skin
A shrunken head of a Jewish man
Proudly displayed in a paperweight
For fraternizing with a German woman
For you, an excuse to commit another sin

Line them up, shoot them down
Steal their valuables, take their homes
What once looked human has turned to bones
Leaving nothing except corpses piled high
Burying them in some massive grave
Trying to hide the disaster, you have made

Ethnic cleansing, so you say
The battle of death has just begun
The blood shall flow, until you have your way
It is too late now for judgment day
Too many souls have suffered and paid
For all the mistakes they have never made

Nevertheless, the day shall come
When judgment day, no longer hides away
As the ones that barely made it through
Will leave the evidence and damage you are due
As the victims of death will be trembling in their graves
The skies will rain tears for many years and many days

If Bush Only Had A Brain

If Bush Only Had a Brain

If Bush only had a brain
He might not be so insane
When sending troops to die in vain

If Bush only had a heart
He would admit his mistakes
Right from the start

If Bush could only see the light
He would not keep sending
American men to Iraq to fight

If Bush could only read and write
He might be able to pronounce alphabet
At the end of the night

If Bush only had some compassion
He might know the difference
Between war and no more food rations

If Bush was not so greedy for oil
He might admit the truth
Instead of lying about the death toll

If Bush would stop taking chances
He might not be able to spend
So much time on his damn ranches

Whisper in my Ear

Whisper in My Ear

Whisper gently in my ear
Blow away the anger
Take away the fear
Stay with me awhile my dear

Hold me tight until days end
Never let me go
You are my greatest friend
Into your love I descend

Kiss me with your fire
Hold me in your warmth
Tell me all that you desire
Knowing your love will never retire

Stay with me forever more
Give to me your heart and soul
Fly with me forever soar
Into my heart true love is born

Lost in You

Lost in You

In a sea of softness
I dive beneath you
Getting lost
In your warmth
Slowly melting
Like a candle

This flame
Will never die
Or cease to burn
In this world
Of unspoken truths
Passion is alive

With great spirit
That conquers
Your wildest dreams
Where two souls meet
And flourish together
In true love forever

Mountains

Suzanne Noble in Suzanne Noble's Blog

Mountains

The sky was dressed in mountains
The mountains stand as one
I have been captured by the beauty
And I am feeling calm and strong

Beyond the clouds lies a sleepy sky
Waiting to break into blues
Unfolding peaceful feelings
A silent summer so long overdue

The stars speak to me when they shine
As they light up the ebony sky
They tell me long past fairy tales
Of a time that has drifted by

For if I need a memory
I need only to see through my eyes
Sometimes tears can never hide
The beauty you thought once died

Reincarnation

Reincarnation

Exhume this lost spirit
From the darkness
Out of the dungeon
Into reincarnation

Swept into another time
To resume a different life
Stripped of all identity
We find another entity

Lost among the galaxy
Into the atmosphere
We are drifting
Into a new beginning

The soul has life again
And wonders through eternity
Secretive passages unfold
As another new life is born
