"An Introduction to Double Bass Playing" is the culmination of over a decade of playing, teaching, studying, and practicing.
It addresses many aspects of double bass playing and pedagogy including exercises, examples, and fingerings that teachers have used over the years but never written down.
It's a great resource for teachers, students, education majors, music minors, parents and anyone interested in the double bass. It is a wonderful companion for studio classes and private lessons.

Suzuki Soup
Suzuki Soup is a composition I wrote featuring the melodies of Suzuki Book 1. It is a medley in a fiddling type style. I thought that since most string students study these tunes it would be fun to play them with a twist in a group setting.
And since students do play them, the ensemble's intonation should be better as the melodies are already in their ears.
You will receive a ZIP file with the parts and score. Copy the parts as needed!

Valse Miniature
This is an arrangement of Koussekitzky's Valse Miniature for bass and string ensemble. The bass part is the same I just 'exploded' the piano part for strings. It is playable by string quartet, quintet, or orchestra in middle school or later.

String Fingerboard Charts
This is a ZIP file of six PDF files. There are fingerboard diagrams for violin, viola / cello, and double bass. Each come in both vertical and horizontal orientation.
-Only natural notes are written.
-Lines are drawn where we usually put tapes on.
-They end at 4th finger / fourth position.

An arrangement of Bottesini's Elegy for bass and string orchestra. There are two arrangements included - one simpler than the other. They are designed to be played by a middle or high school orchestra or string quartet.
I have performed this with my middle school orchestra and it works well!
