This volume is the biggest collection of papers that the journal has yet assembled in a hardcopy volume. It constantly challenges readers to consider general principles of SLA alongside the very broad range of cultural contexts that Asian EFL is able to draw on. It is becoming increasingly difficult to argue that Asia is on the periphery of English language use or of EFL learning and research.
