Deadly delusion
I am new to the group. This category is my favorite fiction reading genre. My observation has been that other than non-fiction and romance novels this is an extremely popular group. But, as I'm sure most of you have found, agents only will only read submissions from published authors. This is the main reason, I guess, that we are all publishing POD.
Another observation for what it's worth, with a public that has grown up watching tv, thrillers must move along and get to the point very quickly. The reading public exposure to tv expects quick, sharp scenes, with each chapter making the reader wish for more, without an excess of narrative: edit, edit, edit.
But then what do I know, this is my first publishing venture, and I'm only 76.
