Welcome to Connie's Corner, my little space in the world of books! I'm so excited to begin my writer's journey, and I know you'll enjoy my first book, Touch of Jules. The main character, Julia Whitman, is a composite of many women I've known through the years, as is Lauren Reynolds, another key character in the story. Sharon is based on a beautiful lady I knew a few years ago, and even the male characters are composites of some of my favorite guys. However, when it comes to what my girls say and do, I've pulled a lot from myself. I have to laugh at friends who have commented more than once, "I heard your voice all the time as I was reading!" "I've heard you say the same thing so many times!" etc. As a retired high school English teacher, I have developed a sassy attitude and a sense of humor, both necessities to survive 16-18 year olds. Add to that raising two boys--and many of their friends--as well as 37 years of marriage, and you know where I come from. Enjoy Touch of Jules!
