As we all know, the turbulence that rears its ugly head in poor economic times can get ugly. Capitalism can breed pure spite out of greedy individuals who praise the almighty dollar as a sanctified power.
But how far can this craving, confused for a need, push a person? How far can it push an entire Real Estate firm with the bulk of the staff upholding reverence and devotion toward financial gain alone? Sure, we’ve all seen news reports or otherwise heard of those people, but who has ever thought to dig into the elaborate yet dismal psychology of an array of these salespeople, once pushed just past the brink, with this malicious capacity?
Answer: irrational motivations and desperate yearnings.
Prominent themes include capitalist greed, religion / idolatry dichotomy, a masculinity / femininity dichotomy, humor (the overriding factor of the subplot), and many procedures directly in fraudulent real estate deals (deception, fraud, spite, and one realtor's suicide).
